At Hemming Architectural and Surveying Services (HAASS) we pride ourselves in our enthusiastic and knowledgeable approach to working with historic, period and listed buildings, and it shows: our sympathetic approach to sensitive buildings – including fine houses, commercial properties, Listed Buildings, farm buildings and buildings within Conservation Areas and AONB’s – manifests itself in numerous successful projects across the UK.

We have a fresh and varied approach to dealing with historic and Listed Buildings, respecting the historic form and fabric where appropriate but never afraid to add a contemporary twist or extension if appropriate and respectful to the character and appearance of the subject building.

We have wide ranging surveying expertise in respect of detailing, scheduling and monitoring works to historic buildings, whether they are listed regency villas or Cotswold stone barn conversions. We are able to undertake Listed Building Consent, Conservation Area Consents and obtain various other statutory consents – providing initial consultation advice through to an inspiring detailed architectural design.

The building stock within Cheltenham and the surrounding areas of Gloucester and the Cotswolds mean we regularly undertake detailed design and advice based services. We are currently advising on a 45 bedroom, Grade I Listed Building, hotel with SPA, conference facilities and Assembly Room in Cirencester. We are providing detailed design and technical advice in respect of fire safety, sound proofing, energy efficiency, general arrangement and architectural design of many internal features such as a feature staircase within conference centre. We are extremely excited to be involved in this project and looking forward to the hotel and facilities opening in mid 2014.
